The Hilda and Preston Davis Foundation Awards Program for Eating Disorders Research: Junior Faculty

We want to assure our trustees, reviewers, and grantee communities that our TMF staff continues to provide high quality biomedical research grantmaking services. The primary goal of the new Hilda and Preston Davis Foundation Awards Program for Eating Disorders Research is to support innovative, clinically relevant research that seeks to understand the underlying biology of eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa, leading to improved patient care.聽Clinical trials, obesity research, and binge eating research are outside the scope of the program.聽

The Davis Foundation Awards Program is a two-stage proposal process.聽 All applicants will submit an Initial Proposal. 聽Based upon the review results, invited applicants will receive instruction to submit a Full Proposal.

The Program plans to support up to (2) two-year awards of $200,000 USD to Junior Faculty:

  • Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or comparable degree and work at a non-profit academic, medical or research institutions in the United States;
  • Applicants must have a full-time independent faculty appointment and their first faculty appointment must have been received no more than five (5) years prior to the award鈥檚 funding start date.
